KEN SHAPIRO has thirty years of Florida experience in development, construction, financing, sales, consulting and ownership of residential and commercial real estate. Ken moved to St. Petersburg Beach, Florida from New York City area in 1976. In 1978, he received his Florida Real Estate Brokers license. Ken moved to the Ft. Lauderdale area and obtained his Certified General Contractors license and started Triple Nickel Realty in 1990. Triple Nickel has been involved in commercial/residential real estate sales and development. Ken has developed residential condominiums and single family home developments in the Ft. Lauderdale and St. Petersburg areas. Ken obtained his Brokers license for the State of Washington in 2007
During the past seven years Ken has changed his real estate company’s focus to a “Green” and sustainable mindset. Ken was the first Certified Eco-Broker in Florida. He is a past board member of The Florida Green Building Coalition an an advisory member of UF Pinellas County Extension Program. Ken was also a certified FL Energy Rater. Ken teaches and gives presentations on “Green” building and sustainability thru-out Florida.
